Shadow - that is great!!! Are those pockets on there or doors? What will you put in them? That is a very unique pattern. If you bought it would you please let me know where? Thanks.

Shadow Dancer 11-18-2007 01:05 PM

It's pockets annemarie. I didn't buy it, jnebug did, I offered to make it for her. :)

annmarie 11-18-2007 01:27 PM

If you could get the name of the pattern or even the pattern company I could google it & hopefully find it. I googled "advent calendar" just last week looking for a pattern for my niece & had little luck. None as cool as the one you did - of course your fabric choices really make it special!

Shadow Dancer 11-18-2007 02:45 PM

This was a preprinted panel. I did one last year for a friends daughter and it too was preprinted, it was a toy store and the pockets were toys, really cute too. :)

You should PM jnebug and ask her where she found it, or who makes it. jnebug mailed it to me, I haven't seen any like it our here, haven't seen advent calendar panels anywhere in town since our other fabric shop closed this year.

I would like to say thank you to everyone for all your kind compliments. :)

That's awesome Shadowdancer, she's gonna love that

Hi, Folks,

This pre-printed panel is by Makower, a British company. Here's a web-site.

I found mine a local quilt shop in September. While you may not want to order this from the UK, it will give you the name and some details.

If you want to contact the local shop where I found it, these are the contact details at their web site:

Hope this helps.

OOOHHH! Very colorful and beautiful! I love it!

annmarie 11-19-2007 02:58 PM

Madolyn - thank you sooooooooooooooooooo much. I really want to make that advent calendar. It is so different than most.

MCH 11-19-2007 03:13 PM

Hapy to help. :P

Now, all I have to do is finish the one like it that I want to give to my son to take back home with him after Thanksgiving. I'm going to put a square of Ghiradelli chocolate in each pocket.

He's heading back on Saturday...and I have upteen things to do before then!

However, I just looked at the calendar and Dec. 1 is a Saturday so I could take it to him. He lives near Sacramento, CA and I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Here's hoping you find the calendar panel.

take care,
madolyn

I am new here. I introduced myself in the other forum, but I wanted to tell you how much I loved your quilt. I especially loved the way you put in the Christmas tree ornaments.

I know for a fact that photos don't do these masterpieces justice. I can only imagine how beautiful and rich those colors are, especially in the "twinkling" of Christmas lights and candle flames.

Just beautiful work. Look forward to seeing other pics.

Breathtaking!!!!!!

Steve 03-25-2008 09:49 PM

Very beautiful, except this is like hearing carols before Halloween is done. How many more days till Christmas? Yeah, I know, quilters have to think ahead. HA!
