Well! I can't believe I have gotten this far on my first attempt at an attic window quilt. I am making it for the bed it is on. This is my guest room. No curtains,I been waiting for this quilt. It is going to be big enough to cover the pillows. Now the blocks are all pinned to the mattress with my quilting pins. LOL   If anyone comes for a visit they will have to sleep on a blowup bed. I have been putting blue sheets over windows and blinds when my kids come form FL. I told them no decorating until I finish the quilt, comforter for that bed. It looks so good I hate to take it apart. I didnt have a big enough flannel to pin it upright.
Anyways if it looks crooked it is because it is pinned only on the bed.

BEAUTIFUL!!!
Did you do the Y seams or the "cheater" way?

First attempt? LOOKS perfect!~
You must be so excited!!! love the color choices, too.

Watcha mean cheater way, with the little squares,I read about them. No I mitered each block. Only I didn't do them by leaving 1/4 inch. I learned if you sewed the dark side all the way up, then pin light side on and started your seam butting up to the dark and not in it and then miter the block this is what it looks like.

I see!
The way I did mine was you take the strip, then a triangle of the same color for the bottom and one for the side, sew them together to make the square, then sew it all together. Clear as mud?

Yep that is clear and probably easyer than what I did, too late now  :? I am going to do another one for a Christmas present. Maybe use your way to see which works up the quickest. I have had lots of fun doing this. Now If it would just magically sew itself
