That is absolutely beautiful. So did you cut the panel in pieces and then add the window frames? If so, you are one heck of a good designer and extremely talented at math.

Well, I got the panel, and kept looking at it for inspiration on what to do with it... I am a big horse lover, and every horse in the panel looks like a horse I have ridden, so I decided to make it into a window quilt that I can hang to look at and remember the horses. It took me a while and lots of math scribbling to come up with the layout. Sewing the attic windows, however, wasn't as hard as I though it would be, and the quilt went together pretty fast. I attempted a ripples-like motif for quilting. All in all, I am very pleased with how it turned out. It measures about 38 by 45''.
