Good use of scraps
|
Wow...you are amazing....I loved the story and all of the wonderful pictures...I have tons of scraps also and need to do the same. Everytime I make a quilt the next one I make is pure scraps. I need to do what you are doing....just crank out a ton of scrap quilts before I buy more or did in to my stash

I am awed and amazed. Congratulations.

Well you certainly are a determined person; talk about setting your mind to getting something done. WOW. Great job.

Oh my goodness! So that's how far they go! I've got some work to do too!
I wasn't going to buy any fabric this year but......Your quilts are fabulous. When did you sleep? So many good idea's. Better get cracking and make some space in my cupboard too. |
I did something similar and it felt great to utilize what I had...the problem is the scraps start multiplying again...just don't have the heart to throw them away!

Now, what will you do with them? You did a fantastic job. The sashing really sets the blocks off. Amazing what you have accomplished. Will you tie them or quilt them. I sure hope you have a long-arm or at least a friend with one.
I am really impressed and you make me want to cut up all my scraps and start using them. It is wonderful how they all seemed to go together. Congratulations. |
Love your quilts, it is hard to pick a favorite. I love scrappy quilts and you can do so many things with 2.5 squares. I keep a box of 2.5 squares. I don't cut up my extra fabric, but if I have small pieces that are 2.5 then I save those. They also come in handy when I want to do a sample block, or if my DGD wants a quilt for her doll - she will go through my basket - picks her squares and we put together a small quilt.
