Beautiful!! Both your son and the quilt! I love his room; that's really neat that you let him choose the color that makes him happy. You're a good Mom and a fabulous quilter!

Does he actually sleep in that room??? L.O.L.
I bet it's bright even with the lights out!! Your quilt is breath taking! Never in a million years would I have thought that orange would make sure a striking piece!! You did a great job!! |

Beautiful quilt and it looks like he loves it. I don't know if I'll ever get the hang of making a bargello or not. I do have the book I ordered from Clotilde and it looks pretty complicated. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay

Thanks for all of the very kind comments.
The instructions for it were from the book, "Twist and Turn Bargello Quilts". We expanded the pattern so the quilt would work as a bedspread. I do not particularly care for orange, but it did grow on me! I picked up the 24 different fabrics while on the Western Washington Shop Hop. Yes, his room GLOWS! The ceiling is bright yellow and I am constantly thinking he left his light on. It was surprisingly easy to make and my daughter has one picked out for us to do in teals and blues. |
That is an awesome pattern. I love the design, the color, excellent!
|
