I mentioned earlier today that I'd like to try this...and I did! I have plenty of 6 1/2" left over blocks! It might look a bit odd with a heart in the middle, but it's still a barn! Thanks for the idea! I'm going to try to do a few of these. I've got roof, sky and door/window pieces all cut out. Just have to pick out the block and barn siding!

I love it.

I love to look for quilts on barns as we travel to the Midwest several times each year. So naturally I think this is a great block. Hoping to have one ready to hang on my dads barn by summer. What a surprise he is going to have!
