The quilt is beautiful. It has such movement. I would do a narrow blue and a wider red border.

nannyrick 01-10-2013 04:20 PM

That is stunning!!! I will let the experts advise on the borders.

twinkie 01-11-2013 04:13 AM

WOW aren't you talented. That is a job well done.

Love it! I did mine in Bonnie's colors. I got the top all put together last night. I'm opting no borders on mine. I'm backing it in the lime green and binding it in one of the purples. Love your colors!!

lfstamper 01-11-2013 06:04 AM

Really pretty - love your colors!

Shrink42020 01-11-2013 06:40 AM

does anyone have the diretions for this quilt? I love it!

TexasGurl 01-11-2013 07:36 AM

Gorgeous ! great job !
I love Bonnie's patterns, how can one person be so creative ?? I made Smoky Mountain Stars a few yrs ago ... and plan to make her Pineapple Blossom pattern (I think that's the name)
I'd go with the dark blue for a border, or blue and then red ...

Evelynquilts 01-11-2013 07:40 AM

It is beautiful !!!

bibi 01-11-2013 08:49 AM

Awesome!!!!

wolph33 01-11-2013 08:53 AM

that is beautiful-well done

misseva 01-11-2013 09:27 AM

IMHO I wouldn't put on borders.

Mariposa 01-11-2013 09:29 AM

This is terrific! :) Perhaps a blue border to finish it off~~

thimblesup 01-11-2013 12:58 PM

Beautiful and I agree with the blue and red borders

cattailsquilts 01-11-2013 04:15 PM

I've become a big fan of triple borders recently- mid size inner, narrow middle, wide outer border. If you want to bring out more blue from the quilt, I would go blue-white-blue. If you want more red, then blue-white-red. You could also do white-blue-red or white-red-blue, but I don't think either of those would pop as much as a narrow white between two darker values.

Just my .02, adjust for inflation. :)

Great job!

wildyard 01-11-2013 05:06 PM

I think a narrow border of the tan or light blue and a wider one and binding in the dark blue. I think I like yours the best of all I've seen so far! :)

Minnesewta-sam 01-11-2013 05:07 PM

Awesome quilt. I don't think it needs borders. Beautiful as is!

imnywoman 01-11-2013 05:53 PM

Fabulous job!!

newbiequilter 01-11-2013 06:48 PM

I have the units finished and started the triangle blocks, but ran into a snag with the edges not being straight. Going to set Easy Street aside for a while and work on some UFO's. Like your color selections. Really shows off the geese.

0tis 01-11-2013 06:50 PM

I love your quilt - I am thinking the blue would really set it off.

sewdamncute 01-11-2013 07:01 PM

That came out really nice, love your colors!

Brazen 01-11-2013 07:03 PM

I'm doing this one as well! I'm assembling the quilt top now... but got distracted by the #scrappytripalong craze that's going on! hehe Your Easy Street looks really beautiful!

javin22 01-11-2013 07:03 PM

So Pretty. Great Job!

solstice3 01-11-2013 07:23 PM

Stunning!!

Suse 01-11-2013 10:58 PM

Great job! I'm still on step 1.

audsgirl 01-12-2013 12:07 AM

Just gorgeous!

dhanke 01-12-2013 01:31 AM

Fabulous! Your color choices are great, good contrast can make or break a quilt like this. I haven't ever done one of Bonnie's mystery quilts. I always find them halfway thru and they don't seem like they would
be quick and easy to play catch up. I sure do admire your beautiful version! I would do a blue border and keep it simple so as to not distract.

mjhaess 01-13-2013 08:22 AM

Very pretty...

QUILTNMO 01-13-2013 08:39 AM

i would use a blue pretty quilt

deanneellen 01-13-2013 08:43 AM

Keep the borders simple so they don't distract from your beautiful blocks, Maybe a narrow dark blue or tan then the red as the wider border. It's really beautiful. Can't wait to see it with the borders on!

dahlshouse 01-13-2013 08:44 AM

Turned out great.. borders, um.. I think some of the dark blue
