my celtic illusions quilt top
3 Attachment(s)
some of you may remember I had posted 2 'Celtic Illusions' quilts made by members of my sewing group- which I had quilted. I finally finished my quilt top- (my quilting room is under construction so can not get it quilted yet)
I changed mine I bit from what everyone else did- I increased my block size from 6" to 9 1/2" and added an additional row all the way around to finish out the circles. theirs are I think 56" squares- mine fits a queen sized bed. here are 2 pics of my top- and one of the previous ones that a member of the group had made-I quilted. |
What fun! Great job. It's on my bucket list to do some sort of Celtic knot design one day.

Wonderful job.

Nice, I like your colors!

I like the way you extended the design. Somehow seeing your top not quilted reminds me of the saying about the shoemaker's kids going barefoot. Hopefully your quilting room will be finished soon and you can get this one quilted.

Love your Celtic quilts. That is on the agenda for my quilt guild this summer. We all will make our own. I have been saving and collecting greens for 6 months or more now in anticipation. Hope mine comes out half as nice as yours!
