Very pretty and keep going! Winter is coming and it will be nice to have on your lap to work on and keep warm at the same time.

Tweety2911 10-19-2012 04:38 PM

So glad to hear that you are taking care of an old UFO that has been patiently waiting to get done. It is pretty and I look forward to seeing the whole quilt when you finish quilting it.

QuiltnNan 10-20-2012 04:59 AM

looks terrific so far

kentuckyred 10-20-2012 08:45 AM

Thanks everyone :) I can't wait for it to be finished so I can put it in my bed. I've learned so much with this project and will be able to make my future projects better. I'm a little scared of the binding- never done one before- so I'm hoping I can make it work. I'll definitely post pics when it's finished.

I like the uniqueness of the centers and that they are echoed in the blues of the blocks and sashing. Very nifty!

Robin57 10-21-2012 09:42 AM

That's such a nice cheery quilt!

carolynjo 10-21-2012 11:49 AM

I had to do some more basting on my project so I spread it out on my bed and took some better pictures of it. Here's what it looks like out of the hoop:

smurfsmom 10-25-2012 06:03 PM

Keep going. It feels so good to finally finish one. it took me almost 20 years to hand quilt my log cabin. it was my first quilt and was king size. I'm not fond of hand work so it took some time to get er done. But i love it every time i put it on my bed for the winter.
