I'm cutting another at the moment. It uses a layer cake + plus some extra. Cut the layer cake to 8 x 10 and then use an 8" dresden plate template. You can get 3 triangles from. It's 20 across and 8 rows. Cut to square up and add a 5" border.

Very pretty quilt, and I think you're so clever to use those pants hangers to display the quilt for pictures. Mine usually have someones hands or feet or top the of a head showing. I too am working on a project for my DDIL's birthday on the 25th. I have only the borders left to quilt, then bind it, label it and get it in the mail!
