That's just wonderful and so nostalgic! I like how you did your corner label too!

I did print my label on an ink jet printer then set it with a hot iron. I printed landscape with my drawing ap. I put the triangle in, typed my label and then removed the triangle. The long edge of the triangle was 11" wide. I decided to double the fabric as the Kona Snow is quite thin. I sewed a piece of my binding in between the two identically sized pieces and then pressed them. Then you sew the label to the quilt on the same thread line that you sewed the binding on. Then turn the binding as usual. Good luck.

Please, where is the pattern posted? This is so gorgeous and I have a box of hankies from relatives and friends and have been waiting for the perfect quilt -- this is it.[/QUOTE]

I posted this pattern probably 3 years ago. Now Patrice told me that the pattern is copyrighted and removed it from the Board. However, I contacted the Moda company (United Notions/Moda Fabrics) and I was given permission to share the pattern. Just waiting for the okay from Patrice or someone on the Administration. Don't want to step on anyone's toes. Yolanda

What an amazing quilt. I love family pieces that get handed down and children who appreciate the value in that. I also would love the pattern. I am not understanding why you can't give us the name and the book it came from. It makes no sense. Sometimes this site is a puzzle to figure out.

This pattern was not in a book or magazine. I picked it up at my local quilt store and the pattern was just copied black and white with no photos. They did have a quilt made up with the pattern. At that time, (years ago) I bought the kit. This time, however, I put it together as my daughter wished. If I am able to post the pattern, you will see that the original pattern calls for some of the large blocks to be fabric only and that turns out beautifully too. I have a photo of my original quilt and will post it too if I am allowed to post the pattern. Yolanda Wood River
