You all didn't hear too much from me this past summer as my husband & I had been so busy with fixing up our yard, deck, etc. for this garden wedding. Here are a couple of photos to share.

Dad, Larry, walking Jessi down the garden isle

Jessi putting ring on Mitch's finger with Maddie (DGD) to the left as Maid of Honor for her mother

Cutting the cake. We had cheesecakes with different sauces & also a chocolate sheet cake for the people that don't like cheesecake. All yummy!!

Oh how wonderful. The bride and groom look so happy. I love a garden wedding, it is not as formal and just invites happy feelings.

Aren't simple weddings the best? My oldest daughter got married on the beach here and we had the reception in my neighbor's yard - had a lobster bake - was so much fun!!

Your daughter is beautiful!!

Yes, it was cheesecake with different sauces to choose from. There was blackberry, blueberry, raspberry & chocolate mocha. The raspberry with the chocolate mocha was the favorite of the day. We also had a chocolate sheet cake as a lot of time kids don't like cheesecake. Did your daughter have a garden wedding too?

mary quite contrary 09-25-2008 08:55 AM

I'll get pictures together to post. She was married at the Highbridge Park Pavillion in Wilmore, Kentucky. It looks out over the Kentucky river and it was a beautiful day.

Did you make the cheesecakes? I made different flavors for her High School graduation but for her wedding I just made plain with different toppings.

I'm thinking about all of the work to get your yard ready for a wedding. Wow!

rein 09-25-2008 08:59 AM

Thanks for sharing such lovely pictures. The garden looks great by the way - and the bride and groom so happy. Congratulations to all!

Sounds beautiful!! I would love to see the photos. I didn't make the cheesecakes. I had too many other things going on. I bought them at Costco. The sauces were all home made though :D It was a lot of work. I wish I had before & after photos.
