My Dear Jane - Week # 18
5 Attachment(s)
Hello everyone!
I continue forward with my 3 week blocks. Today I can show my Week # 18 with D-4, D-5 and D-6 blocks. I hope you like those and thanks for looking! I am not very happy with D-6 colors. Find it me "strong". At the end if reach me fabrics, I think that I will change. For the time being is so it is not so bad on the design wall. You who feel about? Have a beautiful weekend! A big hug! |
You are too hard on yourself! Your work is beautiful!
|
I love them all. I think it will blend in beautifully as you make more blocks.
|
i happen to like your d6 colors. i agree with you, though, that the color is brighter than all of the others on your design wall. if you are not going to use more of these strong, bold colors, i would be tempted to change it at this point. you do fine work, gladys

You do such great work on all these blocks - it would be hard to say any of them didn't look right! Keep it up!
|
At this moment D6 is a little more prominent. However, you have used that green in other blocks and I presume you will use it again. I would keep it. I think it is beautiful and will blend in nicely when you have done more blocks. It's a little early to throw it out (imho).

All of your blocks are beautiful. Your work is wonderful.
|
You are doing a wonderful job. Don't fret about the colors of D6 yet. They are going to work!
|
Keep up the beautiful work!!
|
I think its fabulous!!!!

Wow Gladys I love your blocks. Someday I will get back to my DJ. I have about 10 block completed. Only about a million more to go.
|
I think D6 is great. I see several other blocks on your design wall with the bright green. It will be beautiful. I look forward to seeing your blocks as they are completed. Beautiful work.
|
I think they all look great.

WOW Gladys, more beautiful blocks! I love the green one and as said before you've used it before and if you're going to use it for a few more blocks it will be fine! Otherwise you can try and tone it down with the quilting. Or you can make a second Jane with bold bright colours :D :D
|
Great job and love your colors!
|
fantastic work on your blocks

Gladys -
First of all your blocks are beautiful! Thanks for posting them. As for the green, to my eye it appears to be the brightest color in the quilt. That's not a bad thing! One of them has to be the brightest, right? I would keep the block, but SPARINGLY incorporate the green in a few of your other blocks, making sure it is spread around. When you get all the blocks finished, those green "zingers" will actually give the eyes a place to rest among all of the activity in the quilt. I'm looking forward to next week. Darren |
Beautiful work, Gladys! I like all the colors! And I envy how well your melon seeds are sewn! Have a wonderful day!

Hello to all!
Thank you very much! I appreciate in my heart every one of your kind words! They help me to reduce my anxiety and learn to expect to have everything completed before deciding on a block in particular! I used that color in other A-13, B-6 and B-8 blocks, but with the smaller pieces it not highlighted as in D-6. I will continue adding and we will see at the end! Many thanks again! A big hug! |
I think it will fade in with more blocks added. The green is pretty.
|
Thanks, Josjosnana!
