This is another project that I'm proud of. It is the 5th thing that I'd ever made. I had no pattern, no clue as to what I was doing, only a daughter who kept saying, "You can do it"! It was for my GS for Christmas. I just worked in rounds until I thought it looked right and then did something else. I started this at the end of Nov at my daughters in Nebraska. I came home Dec. 8 and then worked on it to finish it and mail it back to NE by Christmas! I was sooo afraid that I wouldn't get it made and sent in time. Then, after I got the top made which was 90" x 106", I did that Stitch in the Ditch to quilt it since my GS doesn't like tied quilts. I made the quilt and then used some of the scraps to make the pillows, which I sent to NE for my daughter to stuff. I think it turned out really good considering that I had absolutely NO Clue what I was doing!

Wow. For not knowing what you were doing you did great. It looks like you have been making quilts for years. I can see why he loved it.

May I ask what pattern you used? My grandson would love that quilt but I would have to change it to OU

Hi there! As I said at the beginning of the post, I was new to quilting (3 months) when my daughter asked me to make it for my GS. I had no pattern and no idea of what I was doing actually, so I just worked in rounds until it looked alright and it needed something different and then I'd do something else. I just kept working on it until it was big enough for my bed which is Queen like my GS's. No pattern needed----Just make one! LOL It was fun and turned out ok without one.
