I love your sewing spot but, it's too tidy! My space could never be like that!

Its good to hear that you are back at the machine. Don't overdo at one siting, but YAY you can sew again

Getting back to sewing will not only help build up strength in your foot, it's good for the moral too! Please post a picture when you finish this project, I'm sure it will be beautiful.

So glad you are doing good. Besides good therapy for your foot its good therapy for your mind. Don't you love it when you can sew away and all the worldly troubles no longer exist for that time. I remember once in hospital my doctors (I was working on a cross stitch and he told me "Just sew your way out of here". And I did.

Sounds like very good therapy! Keep up the good work!

by the time you get this together your leg muscles will be strong and you will be ready to go on to something else, like buying more fabric for the next project.

I broke my right ankle in July and when I was fully healed, my doctor said I needed PT. I asked if a treadle sewing machine would help. He said its great for ankles! So I've been using my treadle as much as possible. I've added pictures of one of my treadles in her cabinet. The thingy clothespinned on is a head light and it works great. The pretty dog you see in the picture is Molly,my golden retriever.

1889 Singer coffin top treadle cabinet, works wonderfully.

When I bought the cabinet, I noticed the machine mounting hinges and oil drip pan had been removed. Since the cabinet is over 100 years old, I figured I would never find them. The hinges have been found and installed. :-D
Another Singer collector had a pair. My DS is a metal worker and is making the oil drip pan for me. :-D :-D
