This is my first attempt at a doll quilt. I swore I would never make one because of how small they are. I have to tell you never say never. I made this for an auction for a local charity. The huge bear goes with it! I call it teddy bears picnic. The back lined up perfectly straight! The sashing is the same as the back.

I wish the picture came out better. The sashing has red hearts inbetween the plaid. I just love it my DH wanted different fabric but once he saw it he loved it too!

I want to win!!

I've made around the world before if I had know how it would have turned out I would have used smaller sized fabric!

Beautiful

I love the way it looks. From a distance it looks like a rag doll quilt. Nice job.

So are you addicted? You have learned one of the first guidelines to making small quilts--use smaller scale fabric. Keep up the good work and let's see more.

The bear and the quilt are absolutely precious.

OBTW--I see you are new here. Hello and welcome from an Iowa girl!

Was that a bargello? sp

Quiltforme 10-15-2010 02:02 PM

It is kind of like it. It is an Eleanor Burns Around the world pattern it uses the same steps. but much much easier.

Thank you so much. The winner of the bear was 2 little boys. The bear was bigger than both of them. They loved it the littlest boy claimed the quilt for himself. It was so cute to see them carry it off.
