My Easy Street, not quilted
3 Attachment(s)
As usual I get a top done (and in this case the back too) and then I lose interest. I have no excuse, I have a wonderful DIL who helps me quilt. She has called dibs on this one (after I get to use it on my bed first- lol)
I may have to purpose it as my B-day quilt (not saying which year) just to see it get finished. This was the Bonnie Hunter Mystery 2012/2013 Easy Street |
That is sensational! Please send a pic after you get it quilted. It is beautiful. I have 5 tops that need quilting at home and 2 more at the LAQ...I love doing tops but really am not in love with the quilting part!

Oh my! Is the first picture the back? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! Those little houses are so cute and I love the saying on it :) Too cute! oh and the front is excellent as well. I understand the "losing steam syndrome!". Although I tend to get mine after I've planned what quilt I am going to make and then buy/gather all the fabric for it....then I lose steam...Uuuggg! LOL! I can't wait to see your quilt all finished. You've done a fabulous job so far! :)

The Houses were an ebay purchase, the top photo is the back, I wanted to throw something together that used up as much scraps as possible. The original by Bonnie was done in 'scrappy put everything in there', I did mine a bit more controlled just to use up material that had been sitting on the shelf.

Very nice!
I like them.
nicely done
WOW! That is a big project and so beutiful! Can't wait to see it quilted!
Wow that's a lot of work, hope to see when complete.
Wow, it is easy to see the amazing amount of work that went into your quilts. They leave me breathless just looking at all those small pieces. The second one has amazing colors too...all I can say is Wow!
I love your colors. I wish I could get that far before I lose interest! I'm doing this quilt also and I've got the first blocks all done. Actually I am cutting mine down to 3 rows because I was beginning to feel over whelmed. Now I still have the second blocks to do and I'm struggling to continue. It's been that way with the last few of her quilts. I've been doing Bonnie's mysteries since 2007, maybe it's time to stop. I just finished a smaller version of Roll, Roll Cotton Boll and still have it waiting to be quilted. Yours is beautiful.

This is great! Front and back! :)
thanks for the kind comments, I have several other mystery quilts that are not quilted yet either. I assume one of my daughters will finish them someday- lol (insert evil laugh here)
Wow! Now that's a "Rock Star" back.
Love your quilt and the colors are so cheerful. I, too, seem to always need to start another project before finishing the one I am working on. My goal for this year is to learn how to free-motion quilt on my Janome sewing machine.
I love all of those little houses!
nice projects
very nice!!!!!
It is fantastic! A lot of work but worth it!
Wow seems to be the word of the day here. This is absolutely gorgeous, and I love that you did a controlled scrappy. Please post a pic when it is quilted.
WOW, with a plain backing, that could be two quilts. Great job!!
Well I'd be calling dibs too- wonderful quilt and your piecing and color choices are fabulous!
great job, I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that feels that way. Top done, time to move on

Love it....hope you post after it is quilted!!!
Love those little houses!
Very pretty! You got farther than I did. I downloaded all the instructions, but never got started. lol
Simply fabulous! The fabrics you pulled off your shelf work brilliantly together and the back is sheer genius. I love your title in big bold letters. I have grown to like the quilting process. The hardest part for me is making myself get everything layered and ready to quilt. Once I get that done I'll start quilting right away and once I start I plow on through until I finish. I like the quilting much more since I got my quilters dream table a few years back. It made all the difference in the world to have my sewing machine level with the table top. But I'm with you, my first love is piecing the top!

Ozarkcastle: They are both very nice quilts .. thanks for sharing !
