Thought you might like to see what my DH made for me. He used a half sheet of 1/4" OSB, a piece of old broomstick cut up for the legs. It is covered with sheet vinyl, from walmart in the fabric section. It works great. Can change the bobbin by feel and not have to move the extention. I really like it.

It is large it covers the whole table under it but it works really good to free motion the quilt slides easily. We put a leg under each corner and through the middle for extra support. best of all it was very cheap to make the most expensive thing was the yard of vinyl . thank you all for your nice comments.
