My fantasia
1 Attachment(s)
Thanks again to faykilgore for posting her fractured fantasia 2 weeks ago. And I agree, the corners were a bear! I ordered the panel online and finished it yesterday. Still staring at it trying to figure out how to quilt it without distracting from the tree panel. It will be a wall hanging so don't want it to sag. Anyone have any suggestions? I almost am thinking of criss-cross lines in a diamond pattern, the lines about 6" apart. Any ideas gladly accepted! Thanks for looking.

came out beautifully!!!! great job.

Love the looks of this quilt!

I'd prefer straight line vertical quilting for this one. Afraid the cross hatch would detract from it. I think it would be nice with straight lines in the colored "tree" strips at least. Then you could fill in the blue with any type of swirl or meandering (which would match the curved lines of the tree branches. (IMHP I love crosshatch but it just doesn't seem to fit this in my mind.)

vey nice job!!!
Very pretty. I think veritical wavy lines in the center, a meander with leaves for the borders.
I love that effect.
I agree that the cross hatch would detract from it and would choose a vertical line.
It looks really great!

That really came out pretty. For quilting, I would do something very small in the blue only so that the Tree and the border strips stand out. I would match the blue fabric with the thread as closely as possible. Think pebbling, or very small meandering.
Very pretty! Love it!
Wow! That is really striking! Beautiful job.
That is so cool!! That is such a fun quilt! Nice job. Very pretty colors.
Very pretty. I think I would SID on the solid colors.

Love that pattern design. Searched, found site for free pattern, but it is no longer available. Boohoo......

beautiful!

Very pretty. I'd quilt following the lines of the tree branches and crossing the blue strips, then SID along the borders. I think the "art"quilting in the center would really emphasize the tree.
It is so pretty.

Wow, this turned out really pretty. Let us know what you decided on quilting...i.e. show another pic:)
Nice quilt.
As long as you use a good quality of batting, SITD in the panel portion should be just fine.
I agree with Just Jan, straight line quilting, then work in some scribbles or other design in the blue areas. The stitch in the didte in the vertical portions would make the background stand out.

Beautiful. BrendaK
