Wow beautiful, so much detail, did you paper piece it? no wonder it took so long to make WHEW.......

Thank you!! There are 111 six inch 6" blocks, so yes, a lot of work and time to complete it. This was my first serious effort in paper piecing. Most but not all the blocks were PPd. My Pony Club quilt was 100% PPd, except of course the sashing, cornerstones and borders!

Yes indeed .... worth every second! Though there were times when I was ready to pack it in!

Stunning quilt. The green really brings out the colors used.

............ I know I did!

Are you doing it as a specific colour/fabric theme? Or scrappy? or?

I'm doing muted reds, blues, greens, browns... that sort of thing. I seem to have a lot of those colors in my stash! This is my first paper piecing, so there's definitely a learning curve! And I'm sure it will take forever since I have a 6-month old at home that I play with instead of quilting :)

Yes, your time will be of essence, though I think this might be a perfect project to come and go from. When I started FWS, I took satisfaction in completing each block and did not look at the end. I knew I would be too discouraged. Sometimes when I needed a sewing fix and to have that completion feeling I did a FWS block. I didn't have to worry about anything else, other than that one mini quilt! I went with that same philosophy when I did the PC ... and now again for the DJ. While you'll be busy with your little one, I hope that you can find some time for yourself ... and just do one! Great colour choices ... they'll be soothing to work with. Good luck!

I tried to comment but had to go and look at this again and again. It is just to beautiful to not look at again and again. Love the color combo. O I have to go look again
