DottyD....most of the words have already been said....but WOW....thank you so much for sharing this photo and for the encouragement it gives those of us who want to do a DJ and just have not started yet.
I have 5 grand-daughters....and once i have my hand surgery and can hand stitch again, i have this dream of doing each block x 5 so that i can give them each a DJ when they graduate or marry - or whatever - when they are older. The oldest is 14, the youngest 8 months....so i think i might be able to manage it if i get busy. THANK YOU for sharing your wonderful work of art. |
Wow!! What a great accomplishment!

What a stunning quilt! You should be so proud of it! This one is on my bucket list -- I think I have 4 blocks done. I've figured out the seams need to be pressed open as the pieces are so small. I think for me this is a learn as you go process. Please tell us what fabric you used -- batiks, regular cotton, scraps from your stash. Did you learn any tricks that you would be willing to share to make it easier for the rest of us? You inspire me!

Congratulations on your accomplishment and for persevering! It's beautiful . Curious what makes a Dear Jane quilt? Obviously some sampler, but can someone inform me about the origin and specifics?

beautiful, I have one that I started a couple of years ago, maybe I'll get inspired to finish it! Great job.

Are the blocks embroidered? it would take me a lifetime to do.
