I have just finished this and I am so pleased as the pics were taken just after I had my dinner and as you can see it didn't move a bit, I am now going to make one for my recliner chair using the same pattern just adjusted for the different size.

BTW I didn't put any wadding in as I wanted the drape and be able to tuck it down the side of the fixed cushion. I am really pleased with the finished product and it will protect the lovely chair, win win situation IMO.

That was the idea has it is not only my dining chair but also where I sit with the balcony door open, on a nice evening with a nice bottle of wine, bound to be some spills n stains :)

Love this idea. I'll need to give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration.

QultingaddictUK 08-15-2013 12:59 AM

I am pleased to say that after a couple of days of use the cover stays put beautifully and the added bonus, purely by luck rather than judgement it is reversible so I shall choose my backing with care on my one for my recliner chair!

BTW I don't know if I said but there is no wadding in these covers.

Akweiland 08-15-2013 01:38 AM

Love how creative this is!

A clever solution to covering your chair. I make seat covers for our cars so they are washable. I love your bright colors. Heft a glass for me too!
