My finished wedding quilt top!

I'm so excited! I made a quilt for my wedding in my wedding colors! I finished it in time for it to be quilted and bound by the time my wedding gets here. I'm going to display it at the wedding, either on the gift table or hanging behind the cake table. This quilt gave me fits on the colors. I picked out the pink and creams and a different blue first. I made a couple blocks and decided I didnt like a couple of the creams and the blue. So I changed creams and went through two different blues before I decided that instead of blue sashing I would use pink and settled with the last blue I had.

Its done now! Yay!

I love to quilt, and my future husband to be appreciates it as well; he has a log cabin I made for him.

One of my lovely quilting friends embroidered the back corner of the backing for me-She is so sweet to me.

Sorry for the wrinkled quilt, I'm still in college and my floor isnt big enough to lay a quilt bigger than a queen. This one is roughly 96x96

It's beautiful! I've never seen that pattern before. Welcome to the QB from Ohio! I'm glad to hear that you are a quilter starting at a young age. I wish I had started at your age. I look forward to seeing your future projects. And congratulations on your marriage!

Pretty quilt. Congratulations on all counts.

Thanks! I have an excellent group of 4 ladies (including my mother) that got me started, and I couldn't be happier! Once they got me started I never looked back! This quilt makes somewhere around a dozen for me.

Welcome from Northern California. Congratulations on getting it finished before the wedding. The quilt is lovely. Looks like you did a great job. I also look forward to seeing more on your quilts. Good Luck with the wedding. Sounds like you will be married to someone that supports your love of quilting. It's always nice to have friends that help out when you need it. Many blessings to you. It's not easy to do all the things that you have been doing. BrendaK

Beautiful!!!!!!!!

The pattern is called Cottage Stars by Terri Staats.

It is a very simple block- Strip pieced courthouse steps block, then cut into quarters. Add the sashing after sewing the small triangles onto the ends to create the stars. Then snowball all corners to create the small pink block in the "center" of each block.

It went together very quickly after I figured out the creams and blue I wanted to use. I don't typically use pastels, I'm more drawn to brighter colors.
