Well it isn't perfect and I made a lot of mistakes - but I'm learning, and that's what really matters, I think. My DMIL gave me some scraps of batting to practice quilting with so I figured I'd attempt a doll/mini quilt. I still have to do the binding, but here's what I have so far.

Wow. Next time how about some FMQ around those butterflies.
Great job! |
I think it's great that you are trying something new to you. Patience and perseverence DO pay off and you are on your way. Hold on to those beginning pieces. They are part of the fabric story of your journey.

What an interesting quilt design! Keep up the good work. I've been doing mini's for a while, and always learn something new with each one I do.
Oh and add this to the Minature topic in the Virtual section. At the bottom of this thread should be a phrase: Add to a virtual section. Then go from there. Check out the Mini section and the PP section for looks at what others are doing. |
And she's off and running! I bet you get hooked.

Your doing great!!!! keep going and 'showing', lol ;-)

Is that your first attempt? Fantastic. I'm too scared to attempt machine quilting so hand quilt instead. By the end of the year you'll be professional!
|
You're off to a great start! :)
