Hi! Beautiful quilt! Did you work from a pattern or create the weave yourself?

littlehud 07-01-2010 07:52 AM

That is just beautiful. What pretty colors. And I love the purse. Great job on both and thanks for sharing.

sewnsewer2 07-01-2010 08:06 AM

Gee, you'd never know you are a beginner! Great job and pretty colors too! :)

csharp 07-01-2010 08:55 AM

Got this pattern out of "Wild about Flowers" quilt book by Cotton Pickin' Designs - Debbie Foley & Valerie Boman--
the picture in the book showed it in yelows and greens, which I wasn't enchanted with, but these colors worked well, I always have trouble with final visualization, and usually I don't vary quilt colors from pictures in quilt books too much, but am learning to trust myself. I have made three of the quilts shown in this book.

I'm sure your grand daughter is going to love it. It's very cheery. And to have a bag to go with it, how neat.

quilterguy27 07-03-2010 12:56 PM

Beautiful quilt. I love it. I "tried" to do a Triple Irish weave, but after pasting up the blocks it was way too overwhelming and I chickened out. I went with a different pattern I let the recipient pick out and it was way easier and she loves it.

caliquocat 07-03-2010 01:19 PM
