Very nice. The colors work great together.
You are so brave! You did a wonderful job. The colors are so beautiful. She'll love it!
It WAS fun, and you're right - it was easier than I thought it would be. I showed off the picture around work (without telling anybody how it's made or that I swiped the technique from a book) and they all think I'm a mad genius now. MUAHAHHAHAHAAA!! There are definitely more bargellos in my quilting future!!
I just wish there was a lot less pressing of seams involved. I just can't make myself enjoy anything to do with an iron! LOL |
Nice, nice, nice
Beautiful! Bargello is still on my list to make someday.
Very beautiful! Did you find, like I did, that the Bargello isn't near as hard or complicated as it looks? You'll make someone very happy, I'm sure
This is so pretty. The colors are terrific together.
Very lovely, great job and thank you for sharing
Have a Blessed day Ellen |
Really nice! I've done ONE bargello and KNOW all the work an prep that goes into making it! I'm impressed!

I still need to add borders (and batting, backing, and binding...) but I'm just so pleased with it I had to take a picture and share! This is my first try at bargello, the pattern is of my own devising. It'll be twin size when done - it's to be a Christmas gift for someone whose favorite colors are purple and turquoise.

Turquoise and purple were the colors I had for my wedding - 41 years ago. Still love the combination. It's a lovely color combo. I gravitate more towards blacks and reds for myself so it's nice to work with different color schemes. I'm having tons of fun using other people's favorite colors for their quilts, it's like trying on someone else's personality for a few hours at a time. |
What a beautiful design! You go girl!
Beautiful quilt great job

You did a beautiful job. I can't believe that you made your own pattern for your first attempt! You're very talented.
Very nice job.
I can't believe this is not only your first attempt but that you created the pattern yourself. It's beautiful and the colors are wonderful together.
That's beautiful! I've looked yearningly at bargello patterns for quite a while and would love to try one but too chicken. It looks hard and complicated. Maybe some day I'll get brave !
I love your quilt. This is on my to do list for someday. Thanks for sharing.
My favourite colours too and I love it!!!! Spot on.
That is wonderful. I love the interspersing with patterned fabrics -- what a pop it gives!!
Very pretty! Great job on your quilt!
wow...this is a spectacular quilt!
That's beautiful , love the colors. A bargello is on my list of to make quilts. Starting to gather fabrics for it now.
Welcome to the bargello club!!! If more quilters realized how "relatively easy" they are to make, everyone would be making them!!!
I found it easier to fly by the seat of my pants than to follow a pattern. After a few pointers, like you, I designed my own and put it together. The hardest part for me was the SID quilting. Ugg. Designing and piecing the quilt was exciting!!! BTW: Yours is beautiful!!! Let the awe and envy fly!!!   |
Beautiful Bargello .You have every right to be proud. Love the colors.
