Hi Everyone,
I have always wanted to try making a Grand Mother's Garden quilt top, but thought it might be to hard for me to accomplish. But to my surprise, the blocks went together really nicely. I hope you enjoy looking at my two new blocks!! :D :D :D :D |
very nicely done

Love it! Will you keep going?

Very pretty blocks! Good for you. I have the templates (have had them for 4 yrs now) but never got up the courage to try making a block. Were they hard to do?

I thought the same thing when I started making them and now I really enjoy doing it. Yours are very nice, even and fit very well together. Good job!

Very nice. Can't wait to see it all together. Keep us posted.

Way to go! I have plastic pieces for one but haven't had the nerve to start.....yet.

Thank you everyone for all of your compliments & encouragement!! :D Yes, I plan on making a Queen size quilt, I don't know how long it will take me, but I am going to give it a try. These blocks are not hard at all to put together. I watched my Mom put her's together & that helped me in knowing that I could do it. If anyone is interested, please give it a try, as you will be pleasantly surprised how well they go together!!

SulaBug, I always enjoy seeing your projects and really like your first two blocks. What size hexagons are you using? My Grandmother's Flower Garden projects have always been small wall hangings with 1/2" or 1/4" hexies. Haven't had the determination to tackle a quilt.

They look beautiful. I love the colors.
