Your fabric colors are so pretty, from delicates to strong tones, it makes the OBW!

Very nice OBW! Aren't they fun. I'm always amazed at the blocks you get from that one print. Welcome to the OBW craze.

I have made 3 OBWs so far (My first quilting project) and I become so facinated with putting my triangles together that I get lost in them. Yours is gorgeous! Love the colors!

I don't see blocks out of place. I see a beautiful OBW quilt! I would never have been brave enough to try this without the book. Great job on your quilt!

Nice job! You did a beautiful job...I don't think I'd have the patience to do it by hand as you did.

Basically you draw a grid of columns and rows of differing widths then create half square or rectangle triangles, which can be oriented in any direction, then get busy with the colouring pencils til you're happy. You then make plastic templates for each piece and cut each individually. The book is out of print but you can get used ones through Amazon. It's time consuming but really fun and I've got several more in the design stage. Sorry for the hijack. :-D |
WOW! It's beautiful. Sounds like a LOT of work! I made a OBW and it took forever but I LOVE IT! I may try your technique when I have a chance. Thanks for responding.
