My first Bargello
1 Attachment(s)
This is my first Bargello. It was one of the most stressful quilts I have done so far because it was not for me, but for a friend's mom. I did not have much to go on except that she liked blue and my friend liked batiks. This was a very interesting project to say the least. The more I tried to be precise the more mistakes I made. There was lots of ripping involved. And if you tried to rip a bargello seam, you know what I am talking about. The stitch length is very short, and batik prone to ripping....I was having all kinds of fun with this one. A trip to Intercourse, PA and 21 shades of blue batik later, the quilt was finished and a new addiction was born. Somewhere during this journey I fell in love with Bargellos, and I cannot wait to make another one. Yes, I made tons of mistakes, but I also learned a lot.

I love Bargellos your is very nice what is the pattern called. I have made a couple so far and have one ready to put in the frames in the new year. Love the blues but I do not think I am brave enough to use batiks. I know I will have to rip out a few seams :)

Very NICE!!! Bargello is on my bucket list; don't know when I'll get to it though.
