That is a beautiful block, and your points are very good!!! I taught my husband to quilt, and I made him pick out many blocks until he learned to get the points right. It's worth the effort!! Each block you made will get easier and easier.

Bill....WOW for a first block you did a fabulous job.Color combination and the points appear perfect to me. I have tried this type of pattern, but my points aren't as nice as yours. Your wife must be happy your joining in her craft and that you did so well....she deserves credit for her patience in teaching!!! :-) CarolSLC
