I love it! Great job and it is also on MY bucket list! I agree with maybe light blue skinny border and wider one with the dark blue!

Pretty star quilt.

Very pretty Star, they are my favorite quilt pattern.
|
Great job on your star! :)
|
It's a beautiful Carpenter's star. If it were my quilt, I think I might have a narrow border of the lighter blue and then a larger outer border in the dark blue.

Twinkies is what I was going to say about the cream border first to make the star float. Then what ever you choose from there. Lovely star you did a great job.

I would put a small border of the cream or background color (about 4" or less) to give the star more area to stand out in. The I would do a darker border with the background corner stones. If you want to do a piano key border (2 x 6" strips) I would use the two star colors with a cream corner stone. I love your star.

OOps. I'll try again.
For anyone who has not tried a Carpenters Star, I strongly recommend it. Because it is HSTs, it gives a dramatic effect without huge pain. |
You did a great job!!!

Beautiful star! I love that pattern.
