You did a wonderful job, love your colors.

farmquilter 03-06-2011 05:16 AM

LOVE the colors as I have similar fabrics for one that must be done for graduation. I will have the red in the same place. Am saving this for reference.
Thank you so much for posting the photo.

The quilt is beautiful. Where did you position the light, med, dark, and red in the beginning nine patch block?

PATTIESPEARL 03-06-2011 06:26 AM

WHAT SIZE WERE YOUR BLOCKS TO START WITH?

nabobw 03-06-2011 06:39 AM

I agree--am marking it as inspiration for the black and white fabrics I've collected!

That's great! Isn't it nice how well they stitch together? Really pretty top. At least you won't be intimidated by it to make another one. Looks fantastic.

Tweety2911 03-06-2011 08:12 AM

Looks great in the black, white and red prints.

Thank you for your compliment. I put the red in the middle and alternated the darks and lights like a tic-tac-toe pattern. I just love this pattern, it is so easy.

If you go to the home page and scroll down to tutorials you will find it in there. Or go to 'search ' and type in D9P tuts, it will come up there also. very good directions here. Thank you again to everyone who made and posted one before me.

D9P stands for disappearing 9 patch. This is the easiest quilt I have ever made and I am sure I will be making quite a few more. There are a few tutorials on this site showing how easy it is, the directions are well done and easy to follow. Thank you for your kind words. Carol
