I did take a photo of the Best in Show quilt but I don't have the quilter's permission to post it. Here's a link to the Quilt Show's page with the winners: https://www.saudervillage.org/Creati...ow_winners.asp Each of the little leaves on the tree are hand appliqued, and then there's another slightly smaller leaf hand appliqued on top of that, maybe 1/8" in. The border has leaves appliqued as well, just single ones. There have to be at least 1,000 leaves in the border alone. It's just incredible. I don't have the measurements of the quilt, but I'd say it was about 50" square, so you can imagine how fine the work is. I'm going back to the show today and I'll get the quilter's email so I can ask her if it's okay to post my photo along with some closeups I took. It's also hand quilted. It must have taken at least a year to complete.
