Here are the pictures of my first paper pieced block. It is called Gretchen but I do know there are other names for it as well. I have one block done and can't wait until I have the whole top done.

My husbands maternal aunt passed away 8 years ago and these fabrics were found in her closet. They had my mil (her sister) name on the bag. MIL gave me the fabrics and asked for an outfit to be made. A seamstress... not so much, a quilter's apprentice, yes... that I can do. She will see the first block this Saturday.
