I may get to like this technique. Time consuming but allows really intricate blocks. Will have to try designing some.

This block is called Ice Crystal and was designed by Eileen Fowler. I found it in the magazine Quiltmakers 100 blocks vol. 2

Still have to stitch the binding down.

That is an awesome block. It won't be time consuming for long. I find it to be much quicker than rotary cutting and template piecing. Of course, I'm not counting printing off the pp patterns. I usually do that the day before-ish.
