SewExtremeSeams 02-08-2012 05:25 PM

Wow! You should be able to pick up any pp pattern and do it, if you are able to do this well for your first pp project. Way to go!:thumbup::thumbup:

This is just beautiful. On my to do list.

burchquilts 03-09-2012 03:06 PM

THAT is your first? Wow! Nothing like jumping in the deep end! It's spectacular! I love it! Good thing my DD can't see it or she'd really be on my case to make one, too (she's wanted a Mariner's Compass for eons). But trust me... mine wouldn't look half as fabulous as yours does if it was my 300th! Thanks for sharing!!!!

playswithcolor 03-09-2012 03:54 PM

GReat choice with fabrics and piecing the circles. Lovely quilt.

This is beautiful. I have taken 2 Paper Piecing classes and I just don't care for it. I think the results are beautiful, but it's just not for me. You have done such a great job, keep up the good work.

Beautiful ! Are you a fan of the quarter inch ruler? Can't wait to get it in the mail !

quiltsforme 03-11-2012 07:03 PM

That is gorgeous...I would love to learn how to do this. I've looked at patterns, but still find it complicated. I really need to see it done, instead of reading about how to do it...then, i believe i could do it...You did a super job.

Cuddly Quilter 03-12-2012 04:35 AM
