So far, every quilt I make turns out to be a learning experience. You did good!

Hey, Mike...welcome here, and your quilt is as good as my husband's first quilt was. And that was over a year ago. Good going...stick with it, it gets easier & better!!

fantastic effort. I am sure bubby wont care if its not perfect..he will only care that it feels soft and snuggly and is bright and colorful!

So thats what treadmills are for. Hmmm.
Your quilt is beautifal. I see nothing wrong with it. You did an awesome job on it. Can't wait to see your next 1.

Your first quilt looks wonderful! It sounds like your friends are aware of the work and love that went into it. I predict it will become a favorite "lovie". Every quilt teaches us something, even after 20 years. Good job!

Your quilt is great!! I think SITD is very difficult and even some of the more experienced quilters don't attempt it!! For your next one, maybe try sewing the squares on the diagonal instead of in the ditch. For some reason it looks harder to do than SITD, but it is soooo much simpler. Just get some blue painters tape, mark the diagonals and then sew right alongside the tape.

Keep up the good work!!

Great job! I can relate to the seam ripping ~ I have become intimate with my seam ripper this week! You're well on your way to cranking out quilts with the best!
