Martha,
I love your quilt and your color choices!! Keep on quilting! |
I'm not sure I understood all your problems but I hear you pain. We have all been there. It's unfortunate it was so frustrating your first time out. It's a gorgeous quilt and anyone would love to have it. don't give up!! you have a good eye for color, something I sometimes struggle with and your result has to please you.
Maybe you should take a class and be able to avoid some of the beginner mistakes. I love your quilt and salute you for sticking with it. |
Thanks everyone.
I got to deliver the quilt to my daughter today. She really loves it. She posted a beautiful post on FaceBook about it, and also on her personal blog - she wrote some really beautiful and amazing things about me. It was nice to hear. Things a mother should know but doesn't always get told, ya know? It was worth all the struggles and lessons. :) |
Great job! Your daughter will be thrilled. Now you can put your feet up for a while...until the next project calls!
Kind Regards, MaryAnna |
It's the learning experiences that really focus your style! It is a fabulous quilt and I know you'll be even more proud of it with all that work! Great job!

Extraordinary colors/print choices! I've seen so many other similar quilts that look like blah, just pieces stuck together. Yours is so well designed, and I'm sure your persistence and perfectionism resulted in beautiful stitching, too.
Can't wait to see your next quilt! |
Looks great to me !!!

I'm sorry you had so many problems, but so glad you stuck with it. Your quilt is gorgeous. I had to go back and look again after you said it is a D9P. It doesn't matter if people (me included until you said what the pattern is) can't tell the pattern. I love how it is laid out. Love your backing too. Your quilting looks good now.
