Great job! I love the design on your ruler bag! Spools of thread with flowers, how cleaver!

I've been a member of The Needles and Threads Quilting Club since last October. They taught us step by step how to made that bag that's why I don't have Its patter, but I saw that pattern selling on a website. I think you could find some.....soooo sorry that I don't help you that much....

Your rail fence is perfect! The 'silent sister' fabric for the center rail compliments the other rails perfectly.

GREAT choice of fabrics!

Warning about the Gromet Bag pattern from IJ.

I took a class making this purse. The instructor let us make either size. I made the smaller version as did two other folks in the class. I'm not sure if how much of a disaster was the teacher's fault and how much was the author's fault but there were incorrect directions in some areas.

It's been a while since I took the class (several months) but I finally dug it out and made myself finish it!

Go to the Indygo Junction website and you will see a very long list of corrections to their patterns. There is a correction on there for this pattern.

Also, when I finished it I discovered my handles were too big to fit through the gromets (in the small version). I think it was designed for the covered cording handle so make you handle 1/2 inch smaller and you won't have to re-make it like I did.

I also added a heavy cardboard bottom so it will sit nicely instead of crumpling into itself (from the weight of the gromets). Hope someone finds this info helpful!
