I am totally hooked!! I'm already a week into my next quilt. It's a Star for a Lakota friend of mine who has been especially helpful to me and my family since my mom died a few months ago. It's a Lakota custom to give a gift to those special people at a memorial feast one year after the death, and he'll be tickled silly that I researched the customs of his people, besides I hope he likes the quilt. Here's what I've got done so far.

Another "all things bright and beautiful" quilt. Love the colors, love the pattern, layout, etc. Now, I wish my current quilt looked as good as your first.

Becka, your grandma's quilt is bright and colorful. I'm sure she'll love it especially since you made it. The star quilt for your friend will have extra special meaning for him because you cared enough to research into their customs and make the special quilt.
