My first quilt...
 

In my efforts to learn to sew, use a sewing machine and learn to quilt, I present my very first quilt. My best friend and I have dubbed it "Hot Mess King" since it's a hot mess and it's king sized. It's not great but the quilt top is done and I'm proud of it. What do you think? Be nice! LOL

real scrappy--not bad at all for a newbie. reminds me of some of those blocks I handsewed for my mother as a child.

good job, especially for a first quilt. I like it as it is, but if you don't, next time use a sashing between the blocks.

It's a good old fashioned scrappy, They are beautiful in there own ways. Being warm cozy and comforting are their jobs. You did a great job. I'd change it from "Hot mess" to Eclectic King :-) cuz it's not a mess at all. Keep on quilting, it's great for the soul.
