Thanks Sewfine. I won't say it is easy, but it is so worth it, especially when all these wonderful words of encouragement come your way. Learning is key; then comes practice. Can't wait to see what you make.

What a great job for your first FMQ quilt. I just decided to start machine quilting. Was the motivation to finally buy the new machine I had been wanting. I'm still practicing on practice sandwiches, not brave enough to start on a real quilt. I do have a top I think I will SID. You inspire me to keep going and get to the point where I'm brave enough to FM my first quilt.

Thanks Brenda. Wow, a new machine--how can you hold yourself back? You go girl! I have a very adequate Jenome machine that was probably the cheapest they ever made, but she is a work horse. If I had a new machine, I doubt I would even stop for lunch or dinner. I can't wait to see how you make that machine sing.

Thanks nunnyJo. Don't sell yourself short. After seeing the beautiful quilt as your avatar, I'd bet you could do anything you set your mind to.

Amazing! I am so scared to try FMQ but one day I will. You are an inspiration, thanks!

Thanks gramacheri. Don't be scared. It is great fun to try. Make pot holders or something. See if you like it. You will be so happy you did.

Fantastic endeavor! FMQ still scares me a little.

Thanks ItsJustMe. It can be a little intimidating, and I'm not over my fear of it either, but everything is scary the first time. It does get easier (as I try to convince myself). I get anxiety just about every time I take my scissors to new fabric too, but it feels great to conquer the fear.
