I am making a mystery quilt (not a mystery to me) and wanted an applique center. It is in mostly civil war fabrics. The medallion center is done. Hope you like it.

I'm becoming more and more interested in trying my hand at applique. Maybe this beautiful example will push me over the edge and I'll finally do it!

Really nice work! Love it. Am edging over into applique now as I just finished my first applique piece a few days ago and just posted pics. Love the time spent doing hand work. We can't wait to see more of your quilt and work.

I LOVE your folk art applique!! Is this an original pattern?
I also really like the quilt underneath your applique block. |
Oh my, that is beautiful. What a great center.

It is an original design. I love applique. I took a class in folk art applique with Gwen Marston a michigan quilter from Beaver Island.
My daughter Robyn House-Guettler is designing applique patterns to sell. She does BEAUTIFUL applique. When she is done I will post the pattern and where to buy. Thanks for all of the compliments. It is very encouraging mo matter what level you are at in quilting. |
That is gorgeous

Love the pattern, the fabrics. Wonderful addition to the quilt.
