My friends Gina (dog) picture quilt

Well not really a quilt because I think this one I am going to mount to a canvas..Maybe..
Gina was a rescued Japanese Chin, 10-12 yrs old that had been used for breeding and dumped when no longer useful. She was in such bad shape the vet gave her 6 months. 4 yrs later Gina finally was ready for the Bridge. Just 6 days after my Andy.. Gina was my introduction to JC's and I do love them. I am not finished yet with the framing and such , I haven't decided exactly what I want to do with it yet. I put up the original photo also. I hope I captured her..

That is so cute, great work. I would hang it on the wall also so it could be seen more.

What a thoughtful idea. I think framing it for the wall is a great idea as well.

Heartbreaking story but thankfully Gina was rescued and found a better life. Great likeness, you really did a good job. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you all so much. I of course, only see the flaws. LOL Why do we do that? But I knew putting it up here it would be seen by people who understand what I am doing.I know my friend Robin will love it but still.. Its nice to hear it from other quilters.

Perfecto!!! :)

damaquilts 11-14-2012 03:43 PM

I ended up making it a wall hanging. My friend entered a small contest with it and the original photo and won a small prize. I realized I never did put up a picture completely finished.
