I seen Vanuatu Jill post the other day about her traveling GFG kit http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-107104-1.htm

I decided that ziploc bags were no longer working for my GFG, so yesterday while I was at Joann's I decided to check and see how much the locking totes were. Low and behold they were cheap (reg 9.99) and on top of being cheap they were 40% off so even cheaper (paid 5.99)! I went ahead and got the meduim one, it holds everything I need. I am going to get something larger to hold my finished flowers. I like that you can buy several totes remove the lid and lock them in any position that you choose. I also like the fact that my kids can not UNLOCK them and get into it!

My GFG is going to be done all in yellow flowers with brown centers (black eyed susans) with a few white with yellow centers (daisies) the pathway will be tan with little brown splots to look like a real pathway!

still using some ziplocs lol

Nice color combination. How big are your hexagons? I'd like to start one but I'm undecided on the size.

Looks like the perfect solution. And that will be a gorgeous quilt.

My hexies are 3/4 inch (measure one striaght side) and I cut my squares 2 inches! I punch a whole in the hexie templates and then put a dab of stick glue on the back and stick it to the back of a square. Works PERFECT (for me)!

I can't wait to see it done either. I'm afraid I might be waiting a while though!

What a great tote. I'm going to check one out the next time I go. I have been toting mine around in a soft sided tote and it's getting to be a pain. That looks so much better to me.
