Yes, I was thinking of a very narrow red border, matching the center square and then "audition" others for the outer. I do have enough of a mossy green to do a border. I'll see what else I have in my stash. I'm determined to do this one completely from my stash. I even found enough backing to do it all one print. It was in a haul I got from a friend's dad who used to quilt. When he died she gave it all to me! I'll show the finished product when I'm done. Thanks to all for the kind words. I really can't wait to get it done!

What size strips did you use?

They are 1 1/2" strips. I've seen them wider but I just prefer the narrower log.

That is my kind of quilt. I love it.

Beautiful!! I love it. I have the blocks squared off for a scrappy broken star log cabin, my favorite blocks!

I always love the log cabin pattern...I never bore of seeing how many different ways it can look depending on the fabrics used and the layout! I'm working on a red, white and blue log cabin quilt for my brother and the next one I make will be Snake River version! Love your red centers!
