How wonderful! Having been a County employee for more than 30 years, I KNEW it wouldn't be an official gift from the County. When we leave we are lucky they don't charge us rent for the space we took up. (That goes for any government job from what I see). It is nice that your friend has such a good friend in you to celebrate her achievement. Survival!
