The quilt is made from old jeans. The web site said only 3 hours, I should have known better. It took three hours just to cut the fabric. Next time I'm using a circular cutter.

Cool quilt. I think I might have that pattern. I can't wait to try it. Love it!

I know he'll love it. I have wanted to make that pattern but haven't yet. So glad you posted a picture of your finished quilt.

Great quilt. I have tons of old jeans to make quilts - need to start cutting them up.

I started making this same quilt from the pieces that are too small for my donation rag quilts --- I have a bunch of circles cut already... the pattern said to draw squares in the circle and sew the fabric in before sewing the circles together. I spray basted the squres and attempted to sew them in while sewing the circles together--- my short worked but my seams are off a tadd - Is this why you have to draw the square in the circle first and sew the square in?

Yolanda, I like the red and blue. It's right, but I found that if you sewed in stipes then sewed the strips togethor it was easier. I sewed the down the seams (ovals) of the strips before I joined them, then sewed down the long seam.

Matching points was a bear at times and for me it was easier using the strips.

Denim gets heavy and it's stiff so it was a bit cumbersome to finish up those last few rows.

Awesome! Thank you I will try that approach. I like the idea of sewing down the flaps first - I did sew these down but took them all apart because well.. I did a terrible job.

Carol,
I have learned to never believe it when they give the time it takes to do anything! I always at least double it!! The quilt is perfect for a little boy. It should hold up well!! I like it!!
