My Halloween Crazy Quilt as you go.

This was my first attempt at a Quilt as you go item. It is an interesting technique. I enjoyed making this one. Now my hubby wants one that is reversible. Halloween on one side, fall on the other. He's even picked out fabric for a Christmas and winter reversible one. LOL

I love your quilt, very pretty. With my RA getting worse I have been giving a lot of thought to learning quilt as you go.

What does the back look like? Interested in how you joined the quilt together.

I am a long armer, but I still enjoy the QAYG method. I like to teach it when ever I do a class, so that the students know that they can finish the project themselves.

Love your Halloween quilt, especially the embroidery work. All of my quilts are reversible because it lets me try another pattern. But the quilt as you go, should be neat reversible. I think it is cool that your husband picked out fabric for your next one. My husband shows no interest at all in my quilts.

QUILTNMO 09-23-2012 03:31 PM

you did a super job on it. I was wondering if doing it block by block as you go would be faster and easier. Thanks for sharing.

O heavens no, used the line drawings on the Halloween charm pack from OESD using my Bernina 640. I don't think it would be hard to do with hand embroidery but had the pattern and wanted to try it out. LOL That was for the black blocks the rest of it was using up some of the machines decorative stitches.

Jammin' Jane 01-22-2013 02:06 PM

WOW! It looks awesome!
Does your hubby help with picking out fabric?
It's nice that he gets involved! :)
