mgshaw 01-14-2009 01:24 PM

he looks so engrossed!! :D

SulaBug 01-14-2009 01:50 PM

That picture would be great on a Quilting Calendar. What a beautiful cat. I have one also & she has to be in the middle of everything that I am trying to do. She loves to sit on the cutting mat when I want to cut my fabric!! :D

sewjoyce 01-14-2009 01:53 PM

Oh, what a beautiful kitty!! Is he always this much help?

beachlady 01-14-2009 02:10 PM

Jim's Gem 01-14-2009 02:27 PM

Marcia 01-14-2009 03:14 PM

Mine use me as part of their race track. :? They are very interested in anything I am working on! I have one who wraps herself in fabric whenever she can! The hair is a problem! But they are surely great company!

thank yall for ur comments, she's a pain in the butt sometimes and yes the hair bugs me but everybody (especially a quilter) should have a cat.
She appeared on my front porch one cold morning about 3 years ago, homeless and hungry and skinny. I couldn't resist, brought her in and gave her some warm milk and she ate half of my grilled cheese sandwich. now she's so rotten she will only eat Gourmet cat food. she not only knows how to quilt - she knows how to run the computer, lol.

she likes to get right between me and the monitor.

Cute!!

sewaholic 01-14-2009 09:35 PM

You are training her well, soon you wont have to pin any pieces together at all - she will hold them for you.
My dog occasionally stands on the sewing machine pedal. As he is 35 kilos, I have to be carefull where my fingers are.

bluebird 01-14-2009 11:24 PM

Mum, you were about to sew over that pin

Elizabeth A. 01-15-2009 06:00 AM

She's so pretty. Lucky you for your pain in the butt. :) She looks like a British Shorthair, so pretty.

Shadow Dancer 01-15-2009 06:03 AM

Awww, she's helping Mommy sew!! :) That's so cute!

sandpat 01-15-2009 06:05 AM

She is trying to find out what in the heck is cuter than she is...surely you wouldn't devote your attention to anything but her..unless there is something much cuter there...so now..if she can only find it

Those are great pics!

sewsewquilter 01-15-2009 06:25 AM

Great photos! Looks like she doesn't let things get boring.

i have no idea what kind she is, just a calico is all i know - and she's a polydactal - vet said that is the word for when a cat has extra toes on each foot, did u notice in the pics how big her feet are? i had her declawed and she's strictly a housecat. and she is absolutely hilarious. i have a dog too and the cat cleans the dog, pic of that attached, lol. the dog is a maltese and pickaneze (sp?) the dog weighs 9 pounds and the cat weighs 14 pounds, they play so good together, but in a rare scuffle - the cat always wins, she pins the dog to the floor but doesn't hurt her.

I was going to ask if she had the extra toes..kinda like thumbs!! She's beautiful, and you are so lucky the cat and dog get along. Mine did not and (15 stitches later) the cat went to live with my daughter (and he was happy to go!!) Once the dog is gone, I might consider another cat, but I hate cat boxes, so I'll have to wait til I can get out of town so the cat can go out. Heck, I'll probably fit another dog in between now and then (can't retire for 15 years!!)

littlehud 01-15-2009 06:53 PM

She is quality control. Checking out your stitches and making sure they are perfect. Cats are great at that you know. :D :D :D :D

yep ur right, they look like thumbs, all 4 feet. and yes i don't like litter boxes either but i have a built on room at my house and i have it way over in a corner between a wall and my freezer and i use 2 kinds of litter, one clumps and the other takes the odor away. i'm semi-retired so have plenty of time for a cat and a dog.

Zoo 01-16-2009 06:01 AM

Oh that's classic! What a helpfull kittie!

Quilt4u 01-16-2009 09:54 AM

Yap!! Quilting Kitty. Wow cute.

RedGarnet222 01-16-2009 10:20 AM

OMG I love that picture! I was going to print it out to hang in the qulting room, but it gave me a no file shown ??? Dang it!
The kitties with that extra toe are so special. They are so dang smart, they sometimes actually learn words that are our language. Mine used to say out when he was standing at the door.
